RENZO PIANO: THE ART OF MAKING BUILDINGS
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Royal London Academy of Fine Arts, architect Renzo Piano held a solo exhibition entitled Renzo Piano: The Art of Making Buildings. The exhibition refers to his way of approaching architecture through 16 typical projects. The exhibition includes rarely valuable models, photos, sketches and materials that attach to the process of designing Renzo’s works.
There are many architectural works including The Shard Building in London, Pompidou Arts Center in Paris, New York Times building, etc. All of them are well simulated in the exhibition. The center of the exhibition is an imaginary island, a special sculpture installation, gathering nearly 100 Renzo Piano’s projects. Coming to this, visitors will understand how Renzo uses the form, material and construction techniques to achieve the stunning and elegant beauty of his works.
